Abstract
Background: The impact of noncaring behavior will affect patient dissatisfaction. This can be shown in the number of patient visits. The number of inpatient visits at RSIY PDHI from 2018 to 2019 only increased (3.8%). So it is necessary to carry out an evaluation and efforts to improve the quality of service.
Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between knowledge and length of work of nurses with caring behavior of nurses in the inpatient ward of RSIY PDHI.
Research Methods: This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analytic type using cross sectional design. The population in this study were nurses in the inpatient ward and patients in the inpatient ward. The technique used in the sampling of nurse is stratified random sampling with a total sample of 36 nurses and 36 patients. Collecting data using a questionnaire filled out by respondents.
Results: The results showed that the value of spearman’s rank bivariate analysis showed a relationship between knowledge (p=0.000) and length of work (0.024) with caring behavior of nurses in the inpatient ward of RSIY PDHI.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and length of work of nurses with caring behavior of nurses in the inpatient ward of RSIY PDHI.
