HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN (S1) SEMESTER VI DI STIKES WIRA HUSADA YOGYAKARTA

Background: Motivation is defined as the overall driving force in oneself to carry out a series of learning activities in order to achieve the goals that have been set. To achieve good learning motivation, a student needs encouragement and social support from parents, friends, relations or the surrounding environment, because social support is the presence of other people who can be relied on to giving help, sprit, acceptance and attention, so that it can improve the student's learning motivation.

Purpose of research: To Know about the relationship of social support with learning motivation in nursing students (S1) semester VI STIKES Wira Husada Yogyakarta.

Methods of research: This type of research is a non-experimental quantitative research using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were students of the study program nursing (S1) semester VI as many as 57 students at STIKES Wira Husada Yogyakarta. The technique used in sampling is total sampling with a sample of 57 respondents. Data collection tool using a questionnaire with data analysis using Spearmen Rank.

Results: The results showed that social support with learning motivation in nursing students (S1) semester VI obtained a significant value (p = 0.000 <0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.482 which means there is a close relationship between social support and learning motivation.

Conclusion: There is a relationship between social support and learning motivation in sixth semester nursing students (S1) at STIKES Wira Husada Yogyakarta.
