Abstract

Background: Elderly gymnastics in old age that is done regularly will improve physical fitness, so that indirectly gymnastics can improve heart function and lower blood pressure as well as reduce the risk of fat buildup on the walls of blood vessels so as to maintain its elasticity.

Purpose: to know the influence of elderly gymnastics with changes in blood pressure gymnastics elderly program in Jeblog Hamlet Working Area Puskesmas Kasihan II Bantul Yogyakarta.

Method: This study uses experimental quasi design design with one-group pretest posttest design research method with purposive sampling techniques as many as 32 respondents. The analysis test used is paired t-test

Conclusion: There is an influence between elderly gymnastics and changes in blood pressure in Jeblog hamlet of Kasihan II Bantul Yogyakarta health center. The influence of elderly gymnastics is seen from blood pressure before and after gymnastics
