HUBUNGAN PERILAKU CARING PERAWAT DENGAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN KELUARGA PASIEN DI RUANG ICU/ICCU RSUD SLEMAN

Background: Caring as a feeling to provide security, change behavior and work according to standards. Caring nurses have an impact on increased confidence, resulting in reduced anxiety that affects patient and family satisfaction. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a room that has special equipment. Patients in ICU are mostly in critical condition or decreased consciousness, causing the family to experience anxiety.
Research Objective: To determinen the relationship of nurse's caring behavior with patient's family anxiety level in ICU room of Sleman Hospital Yogyakarta.
Research Methods: This type of research is a non-experimental study with descriptive research design correlation with cross sectional approach. The populations are the families of patients in ICU/ICCU of Sleman Hospital. Sample techniques using total sampling with 40 people who fulfilled the inclusive criteria. The measuring tools of the research are nurse caring behavior questioner and
Hamilton Rating Scale Anxiety (HRSA), data analysis using Spearman Rank
Result: the result of the research shows that most of responden (92.5%) an adequately good perception of the nurses caring and most of responden (47.5%) not experiencing anxiety. Spearman Rank correlation test result obtained r -0.647 and p value 0.000.
Conclusion: There is a meaningful relationship between nurse caring behavior and patient family anxiety level in ICU/ICCU of Sleman Hospital.
