PENGARUH TERAPI AKUPUNTUR TITIK ST36, LI4, PC6 DAN SP6 TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PADA MYALGIA DI KLINIK PRATAMA MITRA HUSADA MANDIRI

Background: Myalgia or also known as muscle pain is a symptom of many diseases and disorders in the body will cause disturbances in daily activities. Management of myalgia can be with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. One of the non-pharmacological techniques is acupuncture therapy.
Objective: To determine the effect of acupuncture therapy ST36, LI4, PC6 and SP6 on reducing pain in muscles (myalgia).
Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental one-group prepost test design. The population in this study were myalgia patients at the Mitra Husada Mandiri Pratama Clinic, Bantul. Sampling with accidental sampling of 20 patients. Respondents were given acupuncture therapy for 2 times. The pain scale uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after acupuncture. Test analysis using the Wilcoxon signed rank test.
Results: The results showed that the value of bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon signed rank test formula had a significant effect after being given acupuncture therapy on the pain level of myalgia patients at the Mitra Husada Primary Clinic, Bantul, with p value: 0,000.
Conclusion: The pain level of myalgia patients at Mitra Husada Mandiri Primary Clinic has decreased significantly after receiving acupuncture therapy
