GAMBARAN BUDAYA KESELAMATAN PASIEN DI RSUD PANEMBAHAN SENOPATI BANTUL

Background:Patient safety culture is the values, attitudes, perceptions, competencies and behaviors that determine commitment and style and ability to manage health and safety in an organization (Sammer, 2010). Errors that occur in the medical care process will result in injury to the patient, which can be in the form of a Near Miss or Adverse Event (Marseno, 2011).
Purpose of research: To know the description of patient safety culture in Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital.
Research method: This type of research is quantitative descriptive using cross sectional method. The population in this study was the total number of nurses on duty at Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital in March 2020 with a total of 341 people. Sampling using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling, the number of samples is 184 people. Questionnaire data collection tools, data analysis with computer programs.
Results: The results showed that the patient safety culture in the dimensions of expectations and actions of superiors in promoting Patient Safety in the strong category was 71.2%, the open communication dimension in the medium category was 80.4%, feedback and communication about moderate category errors were 58.2%, the response dimension non punitive to the strong category error of 54.3%, the dimension of management support for patient safety in the moderate category of 59.2%, the dimension of the frequency of reporting events in the moderate category of 59.2%.
Conclusion: Patient safety culture from the perspective of the staff of Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital is in the strong and moderate category.
