Abstract
Background:The growth of the elderly population continues to increase. but the aging process in the elderly causes a decrease in physical, psychosocial, functional and cognitive status which will have an impact on aspects of life, both social, economic and especially health which will determine the quality of life of the elderly. The impact of anxiety experienced by the elderly includes a decrease in physical activity and functional status, self-perception of poor health, decreased life satisfaction
Destination:Knowing the relationship between anxiety and the quality of life of the elderly in the Wonosari II Public Health Center, Gunung Kidul Regency.
Research methods:This research is a quantitative research with analytical observational method, the design used is cross sectional. The population in this study amounted to 100 respondents with a sampling technique using a simple random sampling technique
Results:Based on the results of the Spearman rank test between anxiety and the quality of life of the elderly, a value of (p = 0.000 <0.01) was obtained, which means that there is a relationship between anxiety and quality of life.
Conclusion:There is a Relationship between Anxiety and Quality of Life for the Elderly in the Wonosari II Public Health Center, Gunung Kidul Regency.
