Abstract
Background: Nurses are professions that play an important role as nursing care providers, client advocates, educators, coordinators, collaborators, consultants, and reformers. This role is important in the implementation of efforts to maintain the quality of health services in hospitals. Intensive care in hospital services can be done in several places including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department Installation (IGD) and Isolation Room (Kemenkes RI, 2012). Work stress and workload experienced by covid-19 nurses during the pandemic in hospitals have different responses.
Research method: This type of research is quantitaf descriptive research with cross sectional research design. The technique used in sampling is total sampling with samples of 36 nurses working in the emergency room, intensive care unit room, and isolation room of the Prambanan Regional General Hospital. Data collection using questionnaires. Data analysis using Spearman Rank test
Results: The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between nurse work stress and nurse workload (p=0.028) with a correlation value of 0.367 in the moderate category. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the stress of nurses' work and the workload of covid-19 nurses during the pandemic in the emergency room, intensive care unit room, and isolation room of the Prambanan Regional General Hospital.
Conclusion: There is a meaningful relationship between the stress of nurse work and the workload of covid-19 nurses during the pandemic in the emergency room, intensive care unit room, and isolation room of the Prambanan Regional General Hospital.
