HUBUNGAN TINGKAT SPIRITUAL DENGAN KESEPIAN PADA LANSIA DI DUKUH BAWURAN 2, KELURAHAN BAWURAN, KAPANEWON PLERET, KABUPATEN BANTUL

Background : Loneliness is an unpleasant feeling of emptiness and loneliness for the elderly. There are several factors that influence feelings of loneliness in the elderly including social interaction factors, family support factors and spiritual factors. Spiritualy is a belief in relation to the almighty.

Research purposes : Knowing the relationship between spiritual level and loneliness in the elderly in Bawurab 2 Hamlet, Bawuran Village, Kapanewon Pleret, Bantul.

Research methods : This research is a quantitative research, with an analytical correlation design using a cross sectional approach. The independent variable is spiritual level and the dependent variable is loneliness. The research was conducted in Bawuran 2 Hamlet, Bawuran, Pleret, Bantul. The sample used in this study amounted to 57 respondents with probability sampling data collection techniques. Data collection was obtained from primary data. The statistical test used in this study was the Spearman Rank statistical test.

Results : Based on the results of this study, most of the respondents with a high spiritual level were 68.4% of the respondents and most of the respondents with moderate loneliness were 59.6% of the respondents. The results of statistical tests using Spearman rank obtained p value of 0.007 <0.1.

Conclusion : There is a relationship between spiritual level and loneliness in the elderly in Dukuh Bawuran 2, Bawuran, Pleret, Bantul.
