PENGARUH PENYULUHAN TENTANG PENYAKIT HIV TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN WARGA BINAAN PEMASYARAKATAN DI LAPAS PEREMPUAN KELAS IIB YOGYAKARTA

Background : According to data from the Directorate General of PPM and PL of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, in 2021 AIDS cases will be among risk factor groups, including the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, sexual workers, shared needle users and prison residents. One of the Correctional Institutions that handle HIV cases in Yogyakarta is the Class IIB Yogyakarta Women's Correctional Institution. . Correctional institutions have an important role to be able to cover hard-to-reach risk groups in the continuous flow of HIV care and treatment during the criminal period of prisoners. Based on data from the Women's Prison Polyclinic Class IIB Yogyakarta from 2016 until now (2022) there are 9 inmates who have HIV, namely 3 people from drug cases, and 6 people from criminal cases.

Objectives :Knowing the effect of counseling about HIV on the knowledge of Correctional Inmates at the Class IIB Yogyakarta Women's Correctional Institution

Methods :This research belongs to the type of pre-experimental research, using the One Group Pre Test – Post Test Design (one group Pretest – posttest), namely a design that involves one group being given a pre-test, followed by health education and ending with a post-test.

Results : The results of the Wilcoxon data analysis test showed a p value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there was a difference in the results of the knowledge value of the respondents before counseling and after counseling about HIV disease in the Class IIB Women's Prison, Yogyakarta.

Conclusion :There is an effect of counseling about HIV disease on WBP in Women's Prison Class IIB Yogyakarta
