HUBUNGAN PROMOSI KESEHATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENCEGAHAN HIPERTENSI DI DUSUN CUPUWATU 2 DESA PURWOMARTANI KALASAN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA

Background : Data from Puskesmas shows that hypertension sufferers are still the highest, the total number of hypertension cases is 3,251 people. From the results of a preliminary study of 10 respondents with hypertension that their efforts to control hypertension were curative while promotive and preventive measures were rarely carried out so that the incidence of hypertension was still high.

Objective : This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of health promotion on the level of hypertension prevention in the village of Purwomartani, Dusun Cupuwatu 2, Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Method : this type of research is quantitative research with cross sectional research design. The population in this study were all patients with hypertension. The sample used a total sampling of all patients with hypertension as many as 67 respondents. The analytical test used is the Chi-square test.

Result : The results showed that 37 (55.22%) respondents had received health promotion, while respondents who did not received health promotion were 30 (44.78%) respondents. For the category of hypertension prevention level, 45 (67.16) respondents were in the good category. Meanwhile, 22 (32.84%) respondents had hypertension prevention level in the less category. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was no relationship between health promotion and the level of hypertension prevention in Dusun Cupuwatu 2 at P=0.099>0.05. Conclusion : There is no relationship between health promotion and the level of hypertension prevention in Cupuwatu 2 Purwomartani Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
