ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERILAKU MEROKOK PADA MAHASISWA PEREMPUAN DARI DAERAH TIMUR DI YOGYAKARTA

Background : Smoking behavior is currently not only for men but also for women. Smoking behavior in eastern female students is carried out for various reasons, such as knowledge factors, environmental factors, and emotional condition factors.

Research Objectives: To determine the factors that influence smoking behavior in eastern female students in Yogyakarta

Methods: This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were female students from the eastern region in Yogyakarta with the number of subjects to be studied was six subjects. Determination of the subject in this study using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques with observation and interviews and data collection tools using questionnaires, as well as data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

Research results: the results showed that smoking behavior in eastern female students was influenced by knowledge factors, environmental factors, and emotional condition factors.

Conclusion: there are three factors that influence female students in eastern regions to consume cigarettes, namely knowledge factors, environmental factors, and emotional condition factors.
