Abstract

Background:Self-concept is all the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and beliefs that individuals know about themselves and influence their relationships with others. Self-concept is a subjective image of self and a complex mixture of subconscious and conscious feelings, attitudes and perceptions. Self-concept provides a frame of reference that influences one's management of one's situation and relationships with others.

Research purposes:to find out the description of self-concept in S(1) Nursing students Batch 2019 at the STIKES Bethesda Yakkum School of Health Sciences.

Method:This research method is descriptive research, which aims to describe the events that will be studied. Where this method is used to systematically describe the picture of self-concept in undergraduate students of nursing science STIKES Bethesda Yakkum Yogyakarta in 2019.

Research result: The results of this study indicate that most of the students who have body image in the positive category are 33.3% and negative are 66.7%, and students who have the ideal self with positive categories are 14.7% and negative are 81.3%, and students who have a Self Role in students with positive categories as much as 62.7% and negative as many as 37.3%, and students who have self esteem, with positive categories as many as 81.3% and negative as many as 18.7%, and students who have Self Identity with positive category as much as 77.3% and negative as much as 22.7%.

Conclusion: It can be concluded that most students have a positive selfconcept as many as 65 respondents (86.7%) and who have a negative selfconcept as many as 10 respondents (13.3%), almost all of the respondents in this research have a good self-concept in answering the questionnaire which are given.
