HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT DENGAN PERILAKU DALAM PENCEGAHAN COVID-19 DI DUSUN TAMBAK BAYAN CATURTUNGGAL DEPOK SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA

Background: The world health problem that is currently in the spotlight and is very important to get the attention of health scientists and the public is a disease caused by the corona virus disease. To make the public understand the importance of improving health status by taking prevention, the community must have the knowledge, attitudes, and actions so that behavioral changes can become real.

Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between public knowledge and behavior in preventing covid-19 in Tambak Bayan Caturtunggal Hamlet, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Methods: This type of research is a quantitative research using analytical descriptive method, the design used is cross sectional. The population in this study is the community in the Dusun Tambak Bayan, the technique used in sampling is proportional stratified random sampling. Total population 854 people, sample 90 people. Data collection tools using a questionnaire and data analysis using the Chi-Square test.

Research results: The results showed that the community's behavior in preventing covid-19 obtained a p value (p = 0.000 <0.01) so it was accepted that there was a relationship between community knowledge and behavior in preventing covid-19 in Tambak Bayan.

Conclusion: There is a relationship between public knowledge and behavior in preventing covid-19 in Dusun Tambak Bayan Caturtunggal Depok Sleman Yogyakarta.
