HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN COVID-19 TERHADAP KECEMASAN PADA LANSIA YANG MENGALAMI HIPERTENSI DI PADUKUHAN JAMUSAN DESA BOKOHARJO PRAMBANAN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA

Background: Anxiety is a psychologically dangerous factor in influencing hypertension. Anxiety can increase psychosocial stress in many people and result in an increase in blood pressure. The anxiety caused by the pandemic is also felt by the elderly (elderly). The elderly are among the groups most at risk of contracting Covid-19.

Research purposes: Knowing the Relationship between Knowledge of Covid-19 and Anxiety in the Elderly with Hypertension in Jamusan Padukuhan, Bokoharjo Village, Prambanan, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Method: This type of research is quantitative using descriptive analytic method with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study was the elderly with hypertension in Padukuhan Jamusan, Bokoharjo Prambanan Village, Sleman Yogyakarta. The sampling technique in this study was carried out using a stratified random sampling technique. The total population in this study were 110 people, the sample was 86 people. Data collection tools using a questionnaire and data analysis using the Spearman rank test.

Research result: The results showed that most of the elderly experienced anxiety during the covid-19 pandemic because the level of knowledge of covid-19 in the elderly was lacking and obtained a significancy value (p = 0.000 0.05 with a Correlation Coefficient of 0.648 which means there is a relationship between knowledge of covid-19 with anxiety in Padukuhan Jamusan, Bokoharjo Prambanan Village, Sleman Yogyakarta.

Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge of COVID-19 and anxiety in Padukuhan Jamusan, Bokoharjo Prambanan Village, Sleman Yogyakarta
