PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PETANI TENTANG LEPTOSPIROSIS DI WILAYAH KERJA DESA SENDANGSARI

Background: Leptospirosis is a serious infectious disease that can affect both humans and animals (zoonosis). Indonesia has a high incidence of leptospirosis, with the third highest fatality rate in the world. A person’s understanding of the sickness. Poor knowlegde about a disease will almost certainly have an impact on the disease occurrence.

Objective: The goal of the study was to see how health education, specifically the lecture method and health education video’s affected farmer’s awareness of Leptospirosis in padukuhan Benyo,Kayen, and Beji wetan in Bantul Sendangsari Pajangan Village.

Methods: A quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with a onegroup pre-post test design is this sort of study. A questionnaire with good, sufficient, and poor measurement categories was employed. A total of 47 respondent were surveyed in the hamlets of Benyo, Kayen, and Beji wetan, Sendangsari Pajangan Village, Bantul using a total sampling technique

Result: Based on the study’s findings, it was discovered that respondent’s knowlegde increased after receiving health education. Bivariate analysis recealed that the pre-test average was 9.51, while the mean or post-test average was 13.91, with a p-value of 0,000, indicating that respondents’ knowlegde increased after receiving health education. Farmer’s understanding of Leptospirosis in Padukuhan Benyo, Kayen, and Beji wetan in Sendangsari Pajangan Village, Bantul, has improved as a result of health education utilizing the lecture technique and educational video’s.

Conclusion: Health education has an influence on farmers’ understanding of Leptospirosis in the Pajangan Health Center’s work area
