Abstract
Background: Hypertension is major risk of cardiovascular problems such heart attack, heart failure, stroke and several kidney diseases. In most case, this problem is the trigger of anxiety disorder particularly for elderly. One of the solution to solving this problem is brain gymnastic technique. The technique evidently tranquilizes patients by activating neocortex and parasimpatic nerves in order to reducing the enhancement of adrenalin hormone
Objective: recognized the impact of brain gymnastic technique to tranquilize the patient with hypertension problem
Methods: the research used combination of quantitative approach, quasi experiment and control group design that consists of control and treatment group with 20 participants in Margakaton village Sleman Yogyakarta
Conclusion: the brain gymastic technique is reduces and tranquilize the erdely patient with hypertention problem in Margokaton village.
