GAMBARAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIK (PPOK) DI RUMAH SAKIT PARU RESPIRA YOGYAKARTA

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a persistent limitation of airflow. This symptom is the main cause of COPD patients reducing their physical activity. The quality of life of COPD patients is very important to know, because it can describe a burden of sufferers due to the disease they suffer.

Research Objective: Knowing the quality of life picture of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients at pulmonary polyclinics of Respira Yogyakarta Hospital.

Research Methods: This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional study design, where data collection uses consecutive sampling techniques. Data collection is done using primary data with interview techniques using questionnaires, the sample number of this study is 60 respondents.

Results: Of the 60 respondents obtained the results of 49 respondents have a good quality of life the remaining 11 respondents have a poor quality of life. There is a relationship between routine control behavior in treatment and the quality of life of COPD patients.
