PENGARUH PEMBERIAN VIDEO EDUKASI PERAWATAN POST OPERASI KATARAK TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PASIEN DALAM MELAKUKAN PERAWATAN MATA DI RUMAH

Background: Cataract is a blindness that can be cured through surgery. To get maximum surgical results, the patient must know the procedures for eye care after cataract surgery through health education

Research Objectives: To determine the effect of providing educational videos on post cataract surgery care on patient knowledge in performing post cataract surgery eye care at home.

Research Methods: This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were outpatients at the "Dr.YAP" Yogyakarta Eye Hospital who underwent One Day Care (ODC) cataract surgery.sampling technique used was purposive sampling, the number of samples was 78 people, the data analysis used the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test.

Conclusion: There is an effect of providing educational videos of post cataract surgery care on the patient's knowledge of doing eye care at home.
