Abstract

Background: The textile industry is an industry where most of its production processes use high technology machines. The operation of the machines used in the production process will cause problem factors, such as noise. Noise has several health effects. Apart from having an impact on hearing loss, high noise intensity can also result in changes in heart frequency/increased pulse rate, changes in blood pressure and psychological problems in the form of work stress.
Objective: This is to determine the health factors and impacts that are influenced by noise intensity on blood pressure and work stress levels in textile industry workers.
Method: This research uses literature study method or literature review. Literature studies were obtained from national and international online journals in the form of PubMed, Scopus, and Schoolar with a total of 18 accredited journals which will then be reviewed.
Result: Noise intensity in all work environments in the textile industry exceeds the threshold value with an average of 93.16 dBA, the blood pressure of workers in the normal blood pressure classification with an average blood pressure of 130.28 / 82.97 mmHg and the workforce experiencing the most work stress low of 198 workers. Factors that cause changes in blood pressure and work stress in the textile industry are age, years of work, work shift workload, family problems, personal problems and work problems.
Conclusion: The noise intensity in the textile industry work environment exceeds the threshold value. Workers' blood pressure is in the normal blood pressure classification and many workers experience low work stress. The health effects of blood pressure are hypertension, kidney failure, stroke while the health impacts of work stress include hormonal disorders, gastric disorders and digestive disorders.
